EVERY CHILD. ONE VOICE.

It's a fact — children learn and grow better when their families and communities are engaged in their academic, social and emotional lives. PTA offers all parents and caregivers the opportunity to be engaged in developing their child's potential. Being a member of PTA means that you are part of a powerful association and action plan that is focused on programs and initiatives that strengthen your child's education and the family-school partnership.

The PTA at Malibu Elementary School brings families and educators together to enrich our children's education, promote self-esteem, and solve school needs through volunteering and funding. We strive to foster passion for the arts, STEM, cultural awareness, and health and wellness in our community. Some programs and events that our PTA currently sponsors include:

PTA is no longer a noun. It’s a verb — an action plan working to support your child’s success.

There’s no wrong way to PTA. However you do it, it’s all an investment in your child. PTA to support your child’s teachers and curriculum. PTA to advocate on the issues impacting your child and affect change at the local, state and national levels. PTA to build a stronger, more diverse and inclusive school community.

We invite every family to PTA, because we can do more together than apart.

OVER 120 YEARS STRONG

For over 120 years, National Parent Teacher Association (National PTA) has worked toward bettering the lives of every child in education, health and safety. Founded in 1897 as the National Congress of Mothers by Alice McLellan Birney and Phoebe Apperson Hearst, National PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.

Many of the benefits our children receive today, such as universal kindergarten, the National School Lunch Program, and a juvenile justice system, were accomplished as a result of the PTA mission.

As the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the nation today, National PTA is the conscience of the country for children and youth issues. We are comprised of more than 4 million parents, teachers, grandparents, caregivers, foster parents and other caring adults who share a commitment to improving the education, health, and safety of all children. We speak with one voice for every child.
